This is a unique piece designed for Villa Marelli in Cantù, Italy, by the Studio Asango-Vender in 1934. The simple lines, shape, and structure of this sofa illustrate Asnago-Vender’s minimalist Italian Rationalism. Mario Asnago and Claudio Vender founded an architectural and design studio in the early 1920s which made significant headway in promoting a very pure rationalist aesthetic.
