In early 1950s Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti started a collaboration with Luigi Grampa – the owner of Manufattura Jsa in Busto Arsizio. This working relationship led to creation of series of fabric designs, which were hand-produced by Manifattura Jsa from 1950 to 1958 (currently in production). The most famous from the series designed by Ponti are: Legge Mediterranea, Poesia del Mare, Recinto, Olimpia, Rilievo, Cristalli, Diamanti, Il Circo, Meridiana, Rombi.
