The Orchetta wall lamps or sconces were designed by Franco Albini and Franca Helg in 1962 and made by Gino Sarfatti‘s light company Arteluce. Also during 1962 and 1963, Franco Albini and Franca Helg designed Milan’s Line #1 subway stations. It is not a coincidence the similarity in the style of the Orchetta lamp with that of the hand railing of Line #1 of Milan subway station.
