This acrylic on canvas was made by Aldo Rossi in 1977 while Rossi was creating one of his master architectural pieces “The Cementery in Modena.” Aldo Rossi took inspiration for some of the bold brutalistic features of the Cemetery from the industrial buildings surrounding Modena. Aldo Rossi painted several factories in Modena, including this painting, while creating the Modena Cementery (1971-1984).
