Gio Ponti Patterns and Fabrics

The patterns designed for fabrics by Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti have been highly appreciated since their creation. Many of these patterns were originally designed for the ceramic tiles used in his architectural projects, but many others were originally designed for the fabrics covering some of his famed chairs, lounges, and sofas.

In the early 1950s, Gio Ponti started a collaboration with Luigi Grampa, the owner of Manufattura Jsa in the city of Busto Arsizio, in Varese, Italy. This working relationship led to the creation of a series of fabric designs that were hand-produced by Manifattura Jsa from 1950 to 1958 (currently in production). The most famous from the series designed by Ponti are La Legge Mediterranea, Poesia del Mare, Recinto, Olimpia, Rilievo, Cristalli, Diamanti, Il Circo, Meridiana, and Rombi.

Whether you want to refresh a vintage piece or bring a new look to a new favorite, the Gio Ponti fabric designs and patterns can be an excellent choice for your re-upholstery needs.  We are happy to have the opportunity to offer you some of these unique fabrics.
