
Laura Letinsky
Canadian artist living in Chicago
Laura Letinsky is an artist and designer born in Winnipeg, Canada (1962). She received her B.F.A. from the University of Manitoba, 1986, and her M.F.A. from Yale University School of Art, 1991. She is best known for her still lifes.
Currently Laura Letinsky is a Professor at the University of Chicago, Department of Visual Arts.
Recent exhibitions include the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, The Photographers Gallery, London, and Denver Art Museum, CO.
Past exhibitions include the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography; Casino Luxembourg; Galerie m Bochum, Germany; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Nederlands Foto Institute; and The Renaissance Society, Chicago.
Laura Letinsky and artist John Paul Morabito have collaborated in several projects and exhibitions since 2013. The textile works currently at Casati Gallery are part of this collaboration.
