The FOG fair is just around the corner.
Only one month from now (January 11th, 2017) the Casati gallery will be in San Francisco to participate in the FOG Design+Art exhibition.
After 13 years of being at the Fulton Market Street our gallery is moving to a new location.
It took us a week, with help from friends and moving company, to pack up our collection of lighting, furniture and decorative art.
Yesterday’s opening day at EXPO CHICAGO was a huge success!
Our booth attracted a lot of visitors. Our collaboration with Peter Kilchmann Gallery of Zurich, Switzerland proved to be interesting to the public. People enjoyed our combination of art and design and we’ve received a lot of compliments.
We just acquired a few new pieces! Some of them are going to make it to EXPO CHICAGO, which opens tomorrow: vase by Fausto Melotti, chair by Giuseppe Pagano, and another chair by Giacomo Cometti.
EXPO CHICAGO is just around the corner!
A week from today 140 galleries from around the world will present their artwork at EXPO CHICAGO – Casati gallery amongst them. We welcome you to come and visit our booth – #607. There will be a plenty of pieces, for art and design enthusiast, to choose from.
One year ago, at the invitation of Tony Karmen, Casati gallery was pleased to participate in the 4th edition of Expo Chicago. As part of our inaugural collection we presented a highly curated collection of contemporary, pre and post war design, fine art and artifacts.
Casati gallery has been an Artsy member since 2013. Recently we have expanded our online collection and added many more furniture, lighting and art pieces designed by more than a fifty different artists. Our online collection includes important historical decorative art and furniture pieces by iconic Italian designers such as: Gio Ponti, Franco Albini, Gino Sarfatti, Ignazio Gardella, Angelo Mangiarotti, Achille Castiglioni, Pietro Chiesa, and many more. We also showcase items created by contemporary designers, like Jonathan Nesci or Philippe Nigro.
For Casati gallery Phillipe Nigro created a collection of marble benches called ‘métissage’, and decorative ‘market’ fruit baskets – all available at the gallery.
In the article from Financial Times (Interiors section) we read about three great Italian designers: Achille Castiglioni, Franco Albini and Vico Magistretti. Sheila Pierce, the author, writes “How the studios of Achille Castiglioni, Franco Albini and Vico Magistretti have preserved their work and continue to inspire”
Jonathan Nesci’s candelabra ‘Milano’, created for Casati Gallery is featured in this month’s Wallpaper* magazine. Made out of polished bronze and marble the candelabra combines simplicity and elegance.
