Gaetano Pesce
I Feltri armchair
Italy 1987

Gaetano Pesce created this chair in 1987 as an experiment with the use of hard setting resins. The structure is supported by resin infused felt. It was an experiment in the use of new materials and new construction technigues similar to the Elda chair by Columbo and the early Zanuso foam latex Lady and Senor chairs. It too is a radical departure from what was currently done. It envelopes the person when sitting in it. This example, found in Italy, is in great condition, the full cushion has a snap on yellow interior and a dark gey/black exterior shell.
